The Austral RetractAway 50 Clothesline is our customers' first choice when it comes to retractable clotheslines. The RetractAway 50 is made from powder-coated steel that is both weather proof and rust resistant.

The RetractAway 50 model offers an additional 10m of hanging space when compared with the next model down.

FAQs About Austral RetractAway 50 Clothesline

Do the RetractAway 50 lines need to be extended a certain amount to be locked?

Yes, the RetractAway 50 lines need to be pulled out at a minimum of 2m in order to stay extended and locked in place.
What are the differences between the Austral RetractAway 50 and 40 models?

The only difference between the two models is that the Austral RetractAway 50 can extend an extra 2m, providing an additional 10m of hanging space. Keep in mind that you will need an area that can accomodate the extra 2m line extension if choosing the RetractAway 50 instead of the 40 model.
I'm unsure if I need a ground socket?

A Ground Socket is used only with STANDARD Posts, by being inserted into the ground (soil/grass), which allows the post to then be placed inside and removed from the socket as needed. It is not recommended to use more than one ground socket, such as for Post to Post mounting options, as this can decrease overall stability of the clothesline.

What is the best mounting option for the RetractAway Clotheslines?

We currently only deliver within Victoria.

The FREE delivery will be automatically applied during checkout if your postcode is within our Melbourne Metro Zone.  

Deliveries outside Melbourne Metro will incur a flat fee of $50.00 and will be applied upon checkout.

When placing an order, we estimate delivery based on product availability. We make every effort to have orders delivered within:
